Old Poems???

Atalanta

Temptation and greed shall get the better of thee,
Stoop to pickup three golden apples,
Marriage to Hippomenes awaits.

Closed Minds

The trip is a long and tedious one,
For the mud and slime slows travel.
But man with his fortitude shall overcome
His own mind-created barriers.
If one's faith is as strong as one says,
Then why not listen to those of different opinions.
It is the fear of one's faith being weak.
Close not thy open mind man,
Or forever be in the darkness
That evil and contempt roam.

Marsha

The piercing eyes of God look into your silver-lined soul.
His hands guide you through the paths of life and death.
In life he shows you the morals and principles you should follow,
So you may be close to him in every way.
In death he opens his pearly gates,
So you may enter his heavenly world.
And what a heavenly world he shall have,
When you step into his golden city,
For no one such as you has ever entered before.
The glittering silver and gold shall seem dull
When compared to your gleaming soul.
The angels shall harken to your sweet, mellow voice.
God shall forever be in you,
For you shall forever be in God.
