More nice words...

Lost Treasures

From the dawning of the early morning sun,
The glittering streaks of amber light
Enlightened the dew wet fields
Of the cold, green earth beneath.

The brightening orange glow revealed to all,
The splendors and treasures of the world,
Which everyone is free to enjoy,
But which only a trifle seldom do.

The emerald green of the soft, fresh grass,
The sparkling diamonds of the flowing blue water,
The ruby red of the new budding rose,
The turquoise blue of the heavenly skies,
The shining gold of the falling, autumn leaves,
And the twinkling silver of the pebbles at brook bottom,

These are but a few of the many treasures of the world.
To see the warm smile given by an unexpected gift,
To feel the love given by a close-one's hug,
To hear the sweet voice of a long lost friend,
And to lend a helping hand to the needy when possible.
These are treasures which many have lost.

These treasures are lost to many and most,
For a monetary value they do not possess.
For these treasures are not "physical in nature,
These treasures are of the heart and soul.
