Caring is better than needs and wants?

Wanted

To feel needed is a must.
But without being wanted,
The feeling of being needed
Is not quite so sweet.

To know that a friend
Needs your friendship,
Brings purpose to live.
But to know
Your friendship is only needed,
Not truly wanted,
Then sorrow and pain
Will one definitely feel.
